Work one-on-one with a woman who is trying hard to turn her life around. Your role is to assist with life skills, problem solving, decision making, job retention and career development. In this goal-based program, mentors are asked to help keep their mentee focused on her foals with positive, loving support. Mentors must make a minimum 6-month commitment and meet certain qualifications. Most mentor relationships require once a week phone communication and 1-2 face to face meetings per month. There is a $30 charge for the Mentor's background check.
To find out more information about the Mentoring Program, please call Laure Capozza at 858.705.3206. All applicants must complete an application which can be returned via email to info@wiosc.com. Once the application is received we will contact you for a brief phone screening followed by an in person interview. The matching process takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks. The WIOSC Mentoring Staff is available for ongoing support and communication for both the mentors and mentees. This is a great way to share your knowledge and experience giving another woman the support she needs to change her life.
