Barbara Gormally and Tina Montgomery
I became a WIOSC member in March 2007 after meeting Laure Capozza at a spa party. I've always been a person who loves to help others and try to give the best advice with everyone from family, friends and client.
Laure must have sensed this with me and invited me to become a WIOSC Mentor. After I was trained through Laure I was ready to help my first lady. I am happy to give back to my community that has given so much to me for years.
Barbara Gormaly was my first proteges with WIOSC and the minute I met her I knew I could make a difference in her life. I didn't know how at first, I just knew that I would need to sit down with her and ask her every question I could think of so I could conceive a plan to help her. Barbara was a woman of many trades; a culinary chef, a wine broker, a massage therapist and a personal Chef.
After talking to Barbara, I knew that she was interested in pursuing a career in the spa business. This was music to my ears; I know quite a few spa owners that miight be interested in hiring her. Barbara is a dependable and trustworthy person; you don't meet people like her everyday, she is special.
It was nice to get together with Barbara, we had the best conversations about everything. In fact, we had a lot in common with our "likes and dislikes" and became great friends over the last year.
Present:
I had the owner of the spa I work at hire Barbara as a Massage Therapist and Barbara and I are networking toegther. We have started a little business doing a "Mobile Spa Party" and we go out once a week to help network each other.
I think this has helped me grow as a mentor and it helped me learn things about myself as well. Barbara and I are on the road to becoming the most successful Aesthetician & Massage Therapist duo located in the North County.
We have both earned our titles and love our work.
